There are all sorts of products and ideas for relieving pain that use either heat or cold. If you usually use either of the two approaches: heat and cold, it may even sound counterintuitive that the other approach can also help ease pain. However, when should heat be applied, and when is a cold pack best for your pain? When something hurts, will ice or heat make it feel better?
